Speaking as one of those stans, I think Elizabeth Warren will dodge what really hammered Obama, because I don’t think Warren will own-goal herself in the name of proving that she can bring people together. I think she’s realized that the Republicans are not simply pandering for the crowds in Dubuque; that the reason

Ok, boomer.

Edit: Double Post, deleted.

Fair take is a fair take. The central problem with Klobuchar isn’t inherently feminist or non-feminist, though it has deeply feminist implications.

I think there have been several polls that have showed that Biden cleans up among less engaged (and therefore less likely to be watching the debates) voters, so I don’t think it’s surprising that his standing hasn’t been that shaken by his debate performances.

If it is shade, it’s Michelle Obama-grade shade. I mean, she just told a story about how Dudley Moore literally couldn’t get it up.

Ewoks are Exhibit “A” whenever I have to explain to someone the concept of “dissonance of framing”, which actually comes up more than you might think.

Perhaps it was an extreme case of flatulence?

Okay, I am repeatedly on record as defending Alan Moore as not the curmudgeon people think he is.

Fortunately no. I have never heard another production team badmouth Dormer. But I’ve heard of multiple workers for the show dissing Dormer. Which, based on what I know about what happened, and putting a few things together, I think is very much the typical Hollywood “difficult” problem, because basically, Dormer

She also had some practical advantages that Emilia did not. For one thing, Headey has a number of tattoos that would have to be removed via digital editing, makeup or concealment. Which makes it practically harder to ask for a fully-nude scene.

It was either Emilia Clarke or Esme Bianco (who played poor Ros). Bianco in particular was basically Miss Titillation in the first season or two. Just offhand, showing off her goodies was an excuse for a monologue/character establishing moment for Theon, Littlefinger and Pycelle. Jon was merely mentioned in dialogue. A

. . . that guy you meet at a bar who seems alright at first because he insists on buying the first round, but then won’t stop showing you and your friends photos from his dog’s official Instagram page . . .

I am not sure if I 100 percent follow what you mean. That statement seems to reflect cynicism, as in it suggests that the more a person wants to be a superhero, the more likely they are to focus on their own interests. Perhaps I am misinterpreting what you mean?

To be entirely fair, a mash-up of Snyder and Whedon is a bit like mixing Kubrick and Spielberg, in that the tonal whiplash it creates is going to overwhelm pretty much anything they make together. As we saw from A.I.

I’m not saying that there is an equivalent of “Ok, Boomer” for Generation X directors who clearly 1) read Watchmen as religiously as their fellow nerds read Lord of the Rings, while 2) not understanding any of it.

Yeah, I probably should have added in “stuntwork” as well, because that film had some of the best practical stunts I’ve seen since at least Death Proof, if not since Jackie Chan was in his prime.

Yeah, there will be debate about the #2-100 slots, as there always is. But I don’t think you can fairly argue that wasn’t the best film of the decade. It was a glorious,eye-popping return to form in the action genre, and a definitive case for the value of film craftsmanship. Everything about that film, the

“But it is a heavy burden. So heavy that none could lay it on another. I do not lay it on you. But if you take it freely, I will say that your choice is right; and though all the mighty elf-friends of old, Hador, and Húrin, and Túrin, and Beren himself were assembled together your seat should be among them.”
