Shadowhunters sounds like someone trying to reboot Buffy while not getting sued.
Calgary isn’t rural Canada. It has a population of 1.37 million. Not huge by Indian or Chinese standards, but not rural by North American standards.
Hacio??!?
A C- grade seems super generous.
Is the A.V. Club going to pretend that S6 doesn’t exist? Some sort of misguided stance against Kevin Spacey, even though he is no longer part of the show? Spacey is a shit to be sure, but no need to ignore the final Spacey-less season.
> an elaborate plan he set in motion five years ago, Fisk has the President of the United States in his pocket
> Was he just vying for a prison Oscar?
I could do without the constant “shwei!” bullshit.
I remember when the A.V. Club used to review 90% of the shows I watched. Now it reviews less than 25% of them.
Is there a site that’s like the A.V. Club of old?
I thought Jennifer Lawrence retire from/quit the X-Men ... or did her recent run of bad films convince her to come back?
The difference between BB and BCS is that the end of BB was unknown for the majority of the players (other than we expected Walter to die, either via cancer or more violently). We already know the ending of BCS (Jimmy becomes a lawyer again and does not die), so that sucks out any tension that BB was able to…
Correct on that. I thought he was going to tie in eventually, because it was going to be the drone pilot that fired the shot that took out Suleiman’s complex. Maybe that was the original intention before a bunch of rewrites. I don’t know. It seems like he was there for a purpose that was eventually rewritten.
What was the point of the grifter stuff in episode 3, other than to insert some nudity and sex? The come in. She fucks him. Lee Tergeson kicks the shit out of him. Then they leave. Without stealing anything.
It had no real bearing on the characterization of the drone pilot, we already knew he was full of guilt from the…
Maybe the Democrat bits reveal that Democrats are less susceptible to tom-foolery. Whereas most of the Republican guests lean heavily and happily into the absurd.
> To me that character feels as though he is based around some of the young fallen Youtube stars whose successful, innocuous-seeming channels eventually embolden them to share their sometimes-dodgy social and political views with disastrous results.
I don’t know why people are giving you stars, because you haven’t actually said what the biggest problem is.
He didn’t kill them, though. So, it’s okay to hire him. He has an opinion, and while you might not agree with it, that’s too bad for you. You’re going to have to learn to reconcile with people who don’t share your outlook on every topic.
It’s definitely Drew. He would never have walked into that apartment, he lacks that sort of bravery. He impregnated Chantal. Why she’s missing, I still don’t know, but Drew is definitely involved somehow.
At least that’s my theory at this point in the season. Four more episodes.
