Some of the 2.0's, like my ‘12 Passat, have Urea too. The software simply doesn’t turn the system on. That makes a tank that should last ~7500 miles go 15,000 miles.

go look at historical photos of Los Angeles from the ‘40s through the ‘80s, then come back and say that again.
I doubt very much that it hurts the worker to be promoted. It does however make the union one person less powerful which is all the union actually cares about. The union exists to make sure the union continues to exist not to help the worker.
Yeah, says “Limited” on it and has the 1.8t label.
Well, yes, but the reason is we still have a percentage of dumbasses who don’t wear their seatbelts. The US says airbags still need to protect these loose canon morons, whereas the European safety standards say, “Well, I guess you’ll probably die then.” Being a fan of Darwinism, I prefer the Euro regs here.
Interesting. I didn't know they wee doing that. Two questions: Was this disclosed to you? And did you get a hefty discount?
A couple of Loewy’s more famous designs:
I sure would. Biggest market in the US, bigger than many countries. They’ll suck it up and pay the price

Sorry, but “meh” is too generous for that disaster, and “neat I suppose” should only be mentioned if patting a little kids head that is laughing at it.
It’s not an attractive car. The Z32 that succeeded it (and the original Fairlady Z, of course) are exponentially more appealing.
$25K? OK it’s a rate Ford Ranger but it just a bunch of plastic, a soft top that if torn can probably never be replaced, has almost zero leg room for someone like me at 6', and I use my truck...this thing is like a baby truck whose parents saw Pimp My Ride too many times or is a personal friend of Xzibit. As an owner of two 300ZXs (Z31 and Z32), I’ve never seen a drop of water in even the harshest rainstorms. My Miata on the other hand....
“Rolling through stop signs” sounds like it was lifted straight from one the songs she listens to.
But they would still want to schedule the whole day for the recall though.
Don't you get it? It's a SCREW-up. LOLOLOLOL.
I guess the owners will have to drive their other cars for a while.
I had an ‘81 280 zx. I used to keep string and tape in the car for rainy days. Tape a long piece of string at the leak and run it down to the foot well; as hillbilly engineering goes, it kept me dry and the floor mats only needed to be dried out for a few hours in the garage.
I didn’t even know that piece of junk was still on sale. I’d just love to know the mindset of someone who buys one.
