I really thought the Luke/Claire thing was fine. I mean, sure, it was a little out of the blue but there's definitely a chemistry there.
Honestly, I think the whole reason I'm behind it might be because I suspect they did it to inject a kind of tension/love triangle between her, Luke, and Jessica once she comes back

Along with an over-inflated sense of self-worth, and pathological lying, I'm pretty sure a fondness for Comic Sans is one of the chief indicators of Pyschopathy.

It's been a bad week for much-loved character actors, and Polito was one of the best.
RIP.

Redeemed? Nope, but that's in large part down to the fact that's it's still very early days.
Add to that its two-year endgame and it'll be a while before anyone can truly, accurately gauge how successful it's been at cleaning up - nevermind the damage Watchmen may or may not incur as it attempts to do so.

"Stranger Things to do in Hawkins when your Faceless Lovecraftian Nightmare Beast is Dead".

Yeah, that's fair enough.
I think of Portman's casting as a rare case of Marvel getting it wrong anyway. She always seemed bored, and had next to no chemistry with Hemsworth.

This is good, but it highlights why I don't think a proper Kenobi standalone movie would work.
I always imagined Obi-Wan's time in between III and IV was spent mostly in quiet contemplation, communing with The Force, living off the land, and scaring off the occasional Tusken Raider who tried to touch his stuff …
Boring,

I want to see '10 Freddy vs. '09 Jason … watch them disappoint each other into submission.

Personally, I have no problem at all with recasting when an actor can't/won't play a role anymore.

Uh oh. This doesn't sound good to me.

Just start again, DC. It'll be humiliating as hell, no doubt about it … But once that fades, and you start giving these properties to talented filmmakers who understand how to do them justice, when the good movies start coming out, that'll have made it all worthwhile …

I want to see a Suicide Squad made up entirely of the characters Tarantino's played in his films.

"This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much!"

An MCU Howard the Duck movie would be great.
I mean, unlike this one, obviously the tone would have to be right, but I'd absolutely love a really sharp comedy movie or Netflix miniseries about a Raspy-voiced Private eye who drinks too much, likes his cigars, and gets embroiled in the weirder cases of the Marvel

I suppose it was way too optimistic to expect an older, broad-chested Gregory Peck type.
A Superman modelled very much after Grant Morrison's All-Star version who's been around the block a couple of times and could act as a mentor and older guiding, steadying influence on Kara.

God, I Hope so. :)

I finally caught The Hateful Eight the other night.
Man, Kurt Russell is fucking great in that movie, he even rocks pretty much the same facial hair as Ego in that picture up there, so he won't have to shave for the role …

Just as well Jon Snow came back really, wasn't it? "Olly" would have been a decidedly UN-epic last line to go out on …

Why delay The Punisher? He's not a Defender.

Yeah, sounds like a bad idea. Just watch the original, it only ended last year and it's fantastic.
I mean, why not adapt Spaced while they're at it?
