Ouch!
Ouch!
The 1986 Buick Riviera. The first car with an in-dash touchscreen. It was CRT, green on black. It controlled pretty much everything in the car, and was actually pretty responsive, but it took over 20 years for it to truly catch on in the mainstream.
I guess I should have clarified. Child below the age of 7 or 8. By that age they (at least they should) have survival instincts. Under the age of 7 is where my no tolerance stands.
I’d have to say part of it is that the town I live in is a bit rough as well. A guy was just arrested a couple days ago down the street from my mother-in-law, because he was randomly firing his handgun outside. There was a drive-by shooting a couple months ago. For a small town, the crime rate is pretty bad, and it’s…
I don’t think it’s right in the least to ever leave a child in the car.
Doesn’t surprise me. This thing was awful. The whole experience was really bad.
Yeah, it’s easy to remove, but the car isn’t worth it.
Hey, no hard feelings. Apology accepted. Glad to see that at least you’re willing to own up to that. People hardly ever do that these days. Good on you.
I made a dumb mistake. I said that. I’ve learned since then. I may have not been bright regarding this decision, but I certainly know that I won’t do that again. I’m not taking offense at your post, but one dumb decision does not make the person themselves dumb.
If I’d lost/damaged the remote, it would have been a $200 OOP replacement fee. :/
Ugh... yes I did. Very stupid decision. I had just found out my fiancee was pregnant. I had horrible credit. I thought maybe something with a warranty, small, and good on gas would be good. I wasn’t thinking clearly on the purchase.
I wish I’d known this information when I when to a BHPH lot back in 2011 to get a car.
That looks like a Jag. Am I wrong?
Yeah, the chassis is a little bit on the floppy side, but for daily driving, the I30 really isn’t too bad.
I haven’t driven an I35, but I’m sure it’s at least as good as the I30, plus it got features the I30 didn’t. (heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, etc). I can imagine the VQ35 being just as good as the 30 as well, if not better.
THIS. I have the I30. I love it. Very much so. The auto isn’t the worst one ever, and it would be pretty simple to do a manual swap anyways.
I have a 2000 Infiniti I30, which is a Nissan Maxima, but fancier. And you are absolutely right on these points. I paid $800 for mine, and put a few hundred in maintenance and repairs to get it MD inspected. It had 249,686 miles on it in February, when I bought it. It now has 252,250 on it, and it runs so well.
Sunroof on mine didn’t work either. Seems to be a common issue. The ones I’ve browsed on CL tended to have broken sunroofs as well. It’s a shame, because a sunroof is nice to have. The J30 had 165k miles, and it didn’t work at all. My I30 has 252k on it, and the sunroof works like new.
I dig the goat on the hood. I would unapologetically drive this every day without shame. It’s awesome.
I had a tire blowout on the freeway, and it being RWD, I couldn’t get control at 75mph, spun into a guardrail and then into the concrete median barrier. The whole thing was a mess. Luckily, we all walked away from it with no serious injuries. (None at all on my part)
