We need to stop using “offensive” to describe stuff like this. Do I(a white guy) actually feel some sense of personal offense at the use of that stupid slur? No. And it’s clear that plenty of indigneous folk don’t either. I think using a racial slur as a nickname is wrong, and fucked up, and shitty.

If “Redskins” isn’t offensive, Mr. Pollster, you should use it in your report in place of each instance of “Native Americans” and see how that goes over.
