It hard for me to believe the GoonSwarm is still out there. I haven’t been an active goon for years and I remember goofing with them back before vilerat died.

My kids, ages 15, 13 and 7, all watch streamers and youtubers over regular television.

back in the 90's my buddy was a Nuke on a USS Los Angeles, a US attack sub. He told me they were hosting a sonar operator from the Australian navy who served on a diesel sub. The US sailors teased him constantly about how his boat had to surface and obviously had to have a deck gun.

With several halves under my belt, including one where I had to stop half-way due to knee issues, I can’t say that I sympathize. Granted, my times aren’t competitive and I’ve even finished dead last in my age group, but I know when I short a run, and it eats at me until I fix it.

The first place team has a pretty weak schedule. Look what Purdue did to them back at the start of the season.

I’ve been on a high deductible plan for years, it has saved us money every year except the ones where there was a major illness or birth of a child. The 2016 illness turned out to be a major surgery to correct a narrowing of the aorta in my seven year old son. I have no idea how much that cost by for our family it was

In her case, she received SNAP, worked a second job, and leaned heavily on our retired parents for things like childcare, transportation and housing until she finished her MSW. I understand that people think she’s an outlier.

You mean putting herself through Purdue and graduating with honors? Or do you mean marrying and having children with someone who made a huge mistake (DUI accident) and decided to make it worse by running from the police?

I have a sibling who is a state employee and a college graduate with three kids and a deadbeat ex-husband.

Follow the path, the path is grey

Funny, his call of Brees to Morales against OSU in 2000 is way better.

You know he’s dead right?

Have you all forgotten Marty Roth?

As soon as the guy mentioned being a ranger and having seen some shit, my bullshit-o-meter went off.

To be fair, my Brother-in-law works on the line there. He makes more than $70k/yr. 75% of what me and my MBA (and $70k in student loans make). I think the folks there are compensated fairly and they are DEEPLY passionate about their product.

My $120 nikes are awfully comfortable and keep my feet from getting too sore.

Former Marine? Once a Marine, Always a Marine.

I'm just guessing that any woman marine who aspired to serve in a rifle company would be upset if they changed rifleman....0311 - marine rifleman is kind of iconic is it not?

I went to CCOC and FROC in the stumps, had a bunch of weird billets because they were still trying to figure out what to do with the CCOC people in the 1990 era.

I never experienced anything like that there, or in 29 Palms. Marines never tolerated racial bigotry, simple stuff could get you in trouble. I served before DADT and there was at least one gay marine in my squad who was treated as an equal and never bothered. He wasn't "out" but he certainly wasn't shy about who he
