One thing Toyota could do is make one a PHEV-only model. Or fully electric a la Rivian.

I would love to see a 4Runner that is the size of a 3rd Gen Runner. I’d also like to see it with a manual. The chances of this are slim and none.

Too optimistic to hope they’re downsizing their whole lineup to last gen sizes? Especially the Tacoma.

Sponges are the sponges of the ocean

For oysters, I’ll take the chance.

See that makes sense because those things add FLAVOR

A good way to make bacon is to put brown sugar and red pepper flakes on it.  Makes for epic BLTs.

Distilled water in well sealed glass containers will yield the best longevity.

Keep your old phone around for a little while if you use software tokens and authenticators for work. Make sure you have access to everything you normally need before getting rid of your old phone.

I’m 48 and I’ve never owned a new car or had a car payment. I routinely buy solid used Subarus (used to be volvos, but they’ve changed) and get 8-10 years of driving out of them. I might spend $700-$1000 yearly on maintenance and repairs. Way less than a car payment.

My favorite part of clicking on that link for Bob’s Watches was when they offered me $100 off for giving them my e-mail address. That brings the price of a second-hand Patek Phillipe Nautilus down to a cool $139, 895. What a deal!

Older cookbooks are the best. I still have my Mom’s Joy of Cooking from 1952 (with all her notes). And the JoC she gave me in 1973 when I got married. These can't be beat for basic cooking knowledge. But you need to find one that still has the instructions on skinning a squirrel. When they edited it out, they also

i wouldn’t go that far. but it’s one of those “the whole is better than the sum of its parts” kind of thing. it’s the mix that makes them good. all-whites or all-yolks omelettes are just not as good.

What FB password? I deleted my entire account several years ago, as any product Zuckerberg puts out is nothing but a bottomless data vampire and a waste of time.

People really need to get their shots and stay the hell out of the hospitals, we (pretty much everyone at every hospital) already have more patients than we can handle and don’t need more avoidable visits.

The best time to get your flu shot is whenever it is offered to you. Countless thousands, perhaps millions of people, refuse a flu shot for no good reason when it is (almost certainly) free and effective. Especially considering kids are back in school in-person this year, these petri dishes of disease will proliferate

Just a note about its use. Historically, it was used where Jains and Hindus couldn’t use onions or garlic due to religious dietary restrictions. I don’t consider hing that’s cut with something else (called compounded hing/asafoetida) as a bag thing like one would under normal circumstances. A little goes a long way

Just ordered my occasional case from Who Gives a Crap yesterday, though as usual I got their recycled rather than their bamboo TP.

A bidet helps. You can get a bidet attachment for a toilet for like $30. You’ll use a fraction of whatever toilet paper you go with. Get one that air dries and you don’t even need toilet paper.

I accidentally got a case (8 rolls) of bamboo toilet paper from Grove, when they added it to my cart as a “we think you’ll like this!” and I didn’t check my cart before my auto-ship.
