Holy cow that is a lot for 40k miles! My VW is not a direct injection though- missed that part in your original post. Looks like most if not all direct injected engines will do this then. That is not entirely accurate as there are appropriations that are not in the normal budget. Nation wide light rail transit loses money. A ton of it.

Nope, it won’t. All I can attest for is what happens in my state of MN. “Transportation” tax that goes to roads and bridges is redirected to rail, which is under transportation. A system in which is vastly underused as well as over funded. Light Rail is hemorrhaging money. My guess is most other states do the same so…
