The video is pretty clearly not what a human driver would see in an unobstructed road. She’s very close to a street light. If visibility was really that bad, I’d hope you wouldn’t be driving that fast.

Uber’s system utilizes LIDAR. It doesn’t make sense that it could not detect the pedestrian on the side of the road, even if they came from the shadows. The fact that it didn’t brake or attempt to avoid the impact is really strange, and shouldn’t happen. Even if the collision was unavoidable, I don’t think reflexively

The twist is that these aren’t movies you can actually watch on DVD or streaming. They’re weird VHS movies that never made the jump - the same kind Alamo shows in their Video Vortex series.

Well first, this was actually two years *prior* to The Fappening. But anyway, while I agree that posting the sex tape was not exactly Gawker’s finest moment, there was essentially zero justification for the jury awarding $130 million to the Hulkster. That is not a sane amount by any means.

Twitter rewards snarky humor. That is what people will favorite, RT, and reply to. Wendy’s social media team is just playing to what the people want.

No? Remember SMB 1 minus world and the broken piranha plant hitboxes? The Out of Bounds glitches in Metroid? The constant slowdowns and bugs in SMB 3? Missingno and the thousand other glitches in Pokemon?

Now playing

Derren Brown is just fine with making shit up, thanks.

It’s on real hardware. The time splits are done manually.

Seems pretty clear the subreddit is about sharing things that are not interesting. Boring is a good word for it. That doesn’t mean it is bad.

a+ trolling

The MAME gameplay video has been compared to clips from King of Kong and video he has shown at a press conference. They’re frame perfect. It’s the same game.

the real punishment for being a star wars fan: after you die, you have to write long boring rants about the last jedi, forever

We’ll probably never know the whole story unless Todd fesses up. But if Polaroids were so hard to fake, or Activision’s vetting process were so thorough, I think they probably would not have credited the two other people with the 5.51 score. Todd later stated those people had their scores revoked after they failed to

I still have no idea how to play Planet Coaster.

These guys (the inn) could have just said no and been on their way. Making a big deal of it publicly seems petty. I don’t really enjoy watching video bloggers at all, but it seems like the White Moose Cafe people are just as desperate for attention here.

The blockchain for image rights doesn’t make any sense, either. There’s no real reason why it requires a blockchain rather than a service like shuttershock. Not to mention that the real problem isn’t proving you have the rights - it’s finding infringement and collecting the money.

Last one I played was Rome II, which I think was ruined by the way overly complicated strategy layer. The tactical aspect of the games are so much fun, I hope they don’t bog it down again.
