That is a completely sane thing to do!

lets not conflate inconvenience with stalking and harassment. Words matter, own it.

Just saw this in the NYPost. Yes, it’s the Post, but the facts generally seem consistent with a lot of things we’ve been hearing. The protesters marched over to a second nail salon, that they assume is related to this nail salon, but may not be. They trapped the employees inside and were chanting things like “WHERE IS

This can not be racism because the people are Asian.  Sarah Jeong and the NYT and the people at Splinter said that Asians can’t be racists because they don’t have power and are in an oppressed group.

So... nothing racist happened because neither race has the power. Right?

Hey another misleading title, and a huge case of “to be fair”, and “admittedly” by the Root staff. Thomas put her hands on her first, she got dealt with, how is this even a story on here? No matter how you bend it this will NEVER fit your agenda as long as your readers are even halfway intelligent.

Imagine the entitlement it takes to demand services without pay, and then bitch about how YOU aren’t being respected.

fuck outta here.

There are a few things I disagree with about this situation. For one - black dollars matter is a hell of a chant - reducing people’s worth to their $ worth.

Michael Kay is a clueless and arrogant prick, even without this comment. His voice makes me contemplate suicide, especially when he talks about sports other than baseball or tries to act like he’s “one of the guys”.

Lol no, but nice try

One day Deadspin will pony up for a non-Eastern Time Zone bureau so that 95% of the stories aren’t about the AL/NL East and Eastern Conference. At least football takes place mostly during the day so they can... act like they’re not watching and instead giving us the 4-1-1 on Bravo! marathons.

No one really gives a fuck outside of New York. 97u% of America hates the Yankees.

Except it wasn’t their property. It was school issued equipment. They had no more right to sell them than if they tried to sell their helmets.

In the absence of the NCAA rules, however, wouldn’t we assume Nike would have included a prohibition on resale as part of the sponsorship agreement? It does them no promotional good to give away a bunch of free swag to athletes who then turn it around for a quick buck rather than actually, y’know, promote the product.

The gear was given to each player as part of the university’s sponsorship with Nike, so I think it was their property but NCAA rules stipulate they can’t be resold. Pretty obvious and cut & dry...the ridiculousness of the NCAA machine / player dynamic notwithstanding.

Look, I’m all for saying fuck the NCAA, but weren’t they selling the property of the school?  Am I missing something here?

He didn’t throw every teammate under the bus.

This is a bad comment because Peter King has been one of the most open voters and ahas  always stated he voted for Owens from day one.

Yeah, award it to him posthumously, preferably a decade or two after his death. That’s what you’re going for, right?

Fuck you
