Each of those figures could unlock things in the respective games that are related to the character involved. It doesn't mean that the character will ALWAYS appear in a game when it's used.

Actually they did used prosthetics to enhance their bodies. Most of the Egyptian royalty were hyper skinny and elongated and would wrap babies heads to get a specific shape. They would also use hair weaves and other enhancers to give their bodies an unbalanced and bulbous appearance.

The "Primal" Forms aren't new - Dialga has a primal form that only made an appearance in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers games - When the time tower was destroyed and time went out of whack Dialga lost control of time and slipped into his "Primal" Form.
