I can be very pragmatic about a lot of issues, and I will be in the future. But backing down re: abortion rights is a sign that the party doesn’t value respect for women’s rights. I’d never vote for a conservative candidate for president but I genuinely don’t think I could hold my nose and vote for an anti-choice…

i’m a single issue dem in that i will never ever ever vote GOP even if I agreed with someone on every issue except abortion. so there’s that. and i know a lot of women who agree with me.

I think though that this is going to be a real challenge for Democrats going forward. Kamala Harris said just the other day that the only way for Democrats to win was to abandon the notion of purity tests and try to build a large coalition. I think people generally agree with that.

I never liked driving the 550i or the 7 series. They feel huge to me. Even the 335/340 was getting big by the time I stopped buying them. I’d take a 1M or M2 over these any day and save a fair hunk of change.
