We got a 2002 Toyota Sequoia for a similar reason: towing a 5K pound trailer, having my mom, sister and puppy in the back seat, and the trunk filled with stuff. Got about 15MPG from michigan to california and back. We bought our truck with 200K miles for 4K. No regrets.
