I don’t know much about Ghost in the Shell, never saw it, but as a former designer, if I was making a cyborg, I’d make it look like a white person. Generic, doesn’t stand out, can travel easily between countries, can have any passport... and eventually will be easier to sell to a global market. It makes sense.
