I think the problem with Rick & Morty is that it’s a good show. That is to say, it’s a fun watch. At its best, it feels like someone upturning a box of toys, and you’re watching them spill out. But man, I can see the Dan Harmon in this show, and I *really* don’t like it.

It’s the new South Park, if you think about it.

And the comments are acting as if he’s a negative nancy who’s hard on the show.

Actually, that’s sort of the thing. It’s often a risky endeavor to report something that’s happened to you among these lines, because nobody wants to believe that shit at the person-to-person level, as opposed to the news-headline one (people do love being outraged). I know this kind of talk is what you’re rolling

Seriously - the McElroy brothers’ careers are practically a testament to that. It’s not so much that the lack of offensiveness in itself is funnier (though it helps), but that not being able to have an easy go-to forces you to, you know, be clever.

Hell, even people making fun of nazis have to make it funny, otherwise

That’s some fine projectin’, Lou.

Now that we’ve been totally shocked, can we finally stop giving a platform to rich guys who mope about being shitty? Now that Louis C.K. is no longer beloved, I’m kinda hoping that bullshit stops. He and Harmon definitely stand out to me as the biggest examples of this.

It’s like their acknowledgement of flaws not only

Yes, AV Club, where is your Whitewater scandal coverage?

Okay, well THAT’S not true, really. She’s an absurd person, whether or not you think she deserves that level of ire. She’s also an adult, and is just as complicit in her father’s crimes as the rest of his cabinet, for not doing anything.

There’s certainly nothing everyday or relatable about a ultra-wealthy android

I had a similar thought to a lot of people here - Michael is going to end up needing the humans’ help. And frankly, they need his help - surely if ‘The Good Place’ project is canned, they’re still gonna be in The Bad Place, just a different section - meaning more traditional, hellish torture. I guess they’ll be forced

If they saved the comments section, it’d be enough. Everything’s a fucking mess, but as long as we still get to hear from idiotking and the like, it’s worth visiting.

I know what you mean, but it’s hard to express why. I can’t watch Louie because it gives off a vibe like it expects my mind to be blown any time there’s a nice moment.

Everyone else seems to agree with you, but I kinda don’t see it, to be honest. His date with Jessica came off like someone with bipolar disorder having a manic episode, and it’s kinda uncomfortable how he’s sleeping with adult women.

Aside from that though, he seems like a good guy. His scene at work seemed like he was

That was some real-ass wailing and sobbing. It was almost disturbing how well it was done.

Oh gosh, this was the episode I’ve been waiting for all season (I’m ImDaniel, if you’ve seen my earlier moaning). Finally we get some better insight. I’m really intrigued by Rick’s opinion that his care for Morty is holding him back. So, I guess he really is ashamed of his irrational attachments. He’s been embarrassed
