I never keep more than $500 in my checking account at any time in my Ally checking account. I have enough in my savings to float me in an emergency for 5 months. I have no student, home, or auto loans, just regular credit card debt.

At my work they offer both a Roth and Traditional 401k and when I started here I decided to split 50/50 distributions to both types. I just did this because both were offered but is there any actual benefit in contributing to both?

This reminded me of another technology that, while not battery-less, helped in the remote charging of drones with laser power. You’d only need line of sight instead of continuous wireless infrastructure.

Honda kinda had a minor version of this with the S2000 gauge cluster. They can take this further now so the indicator lights at the bottom can be more than little icons.

Yeah I agree, my first thought was "why did they make a separate app when they own Quickoffice?" In my opinion Quickoffice is all of this stuff already.

Yeah it seems really daunting for me as well. I'm living in the Bay Area where housing is just as or even more expensive. Certainly over time I'm sure I can save the $80k-$100k necessary but I also worry that in that time frame things would have gotten even more expensive. Even people with a 6 figure income I think

We tried something like this at my company a year ago to replace our Cisco IP phones. The theory being you'd only ever need your company iPhone. However the phone dock phone always had issues answering calls and connecting to calls so we eventually went back.

Here's my simple space based homescreen. I keep all the icons hidden with Circle Launcher widgits.

Seriously the orchestra is the most exciting part of this presentation

Using hydroponics seems to be the most realistic solution when trying to make these type of buildings. Having soil in these buildings seems to be a logistical and engineering nightmare.

I didn't get mine at launch (got it later that year) but its honestly still a good phone. I haven't rooted mine though. I feel like it is still good in comparison to other friends with newer phones, even newer gen Incredibles. I will probably upgrade soon but I don't know what I'll move to eventually.

In my opinion the problem is that we just copied the qwerty keyboard directly to the touchscreen. While it does work I think a lot of the discussion here shows that a new style of keyboard needs to be developed, one that is optimized for the format of touchscreens.

Don't see why not the venue shouldn't be used for other things as well. We don't want this track turning into Korea where it is only used during an F1 weekend and is a ghost town the rest of the year.

Caught a sight of a silver Mclaren F1 in downtown Austin in our last day there.

Somewhere in Africa a little kid is wearing a t-shirt saying Al Gore 2000 President.

This feels a lot like steel leaf springs you get on trucks. Except of course its "organic" with bamboo.
