This book was the first Octavia Butler book I read, and it was great!

STOP WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME

For those of you too young to recognize the impotent dread you’re feeling: Welcome to Cold War Fear Redux. Yes, you’re going to feel this all the time now. No, there’s no refuge.

HAHA! The uncanny valley of ice cream! I love it.

Perfect lead gif is perfect.

I would genuinely sooner suck on ice than use Halo for an ice cream replacement.

Agreed, Listen I spent so much time defending Theon after episode two of this season. Like do you people not realize he has some major PTSD and plus he made the sensible choice?

Lets hope not, if a university as prestigious as Harvard would expel a student for having a view that they don’t agree with (or makes them look bad) then the conservatives are right. Even Google was very clear that the reason for the termination was for creating an unsafe workspace, I don’t see how Harvard could make

Yes! And there were so many parallels between what Dany and Sansa have been through that I’m really curious about them meeting. Dany’s monologue to Jon about spending her life in “foreign lands,” being sold, betrayed, raped, etc...Sansa went through all of that, too, and had neither an army nor dragons.

While I love Arya (who doesn’t?), I’ve always found Sansa far more relatable, at least to me, and it’s disturbing the amount of shit she gets from viewers no matter what she does. She’s not a warrior or assassin or a whateverthefuck Bran is, but she’s a decent human trying to make her way in a fucked up world. When

You said it. I LOVE the badass characters (Arya is great), but I am so annoyed by everyone always shitting on Sansa because she’s girly and reacts to things like a normal person. We all want to think we’d be like Arya under these circumstances, but we’d probably be more like Sansa and no one wants to admit that.

Also, she kind of approached Arya in a motherly fashion initially. It’s now abundantly clear that Arya is able to take care of herself. Hopefully she will see what her assets are and use them effectively as opposed to fretting over if everyone is going to be able to eat. Having an assassin and seer and someone who

I have to rewatch - I might be mixing her up with Littlefinger since he was CLEARLY amused but I thought I saw a small tick of her mouth.

I think she has had this longing for her family to be together again for so long that she is genuinely disappointed that Bran and Arya (who she hasn’t seen since season 1)have changed so drastically: it’s almost like being traumatised by the death of her family all over again because they are no longer little brother

It’s when Jon and David are walking down the exterior steps on Dragonstone before they have their conversation with Missandei

Lol we get one of these comments every week

The best part of that was Littlefinger - scheming for years - only to not plan for the “Starks are total freaks” scenario.

There’s a meme going around that makes this point. It shows Cersei being her power-crazed self and then Dany demanding that everyone bend the knee and threatening to roast people and then Sansa trying to make sure everyone will have enough food to survive the winter.

She really doesn’t. Also technically the throne doesn’t belong to her because up until Cersei exploded herself into sovereignty, throne inheritance did not pass to royal women in the Seven Kingdom.

Yessssss (except he should keep the Baratheon thing under his hat around Daenerys, because hooooo boy, he’d become dragon barbecue fast if she thought he even stood a chance of getting between her and the throne).
