Re: unholy poly blend.
My husband and I were driving when “Look what you made me do” came on the radio and husband was like, “Wait, this sounds super serious. Like, did someone murder her entire family?”
A friend of mine got into ... and out of It Works. After a solid year and a half of non-stop posting about wraps ‘n’ shit, it all suddenly stopped and was replaced by posts about “getting my life back” after being “tricked.” She’s gone back to working full-time and running races and recovering from all the shit she’s…
I have been trying to find ways to give money to those places directly, but have been coming up empty and I am always wary of donating to personal CrowdFunds when I don’t know the person who set that up.
Indeed. So many issues with that woman.
Well, I think it’s notable that the examples you cited involve someone OF the culture inviting others to partake. That’s not appropriation.
Since you mentioned salwar kameez: When I was in India this year, I was in a resort with a lot of white people for part of it. And I saw young white women hitting the resort bars/club/restaurants all dressed up ... in the TOP part of the salwar kameez without the leggings. Like, basically wearing shirts with no pants.…
Right. Dolezal goes WAY beyond cultural appropriation. She honestly tried to become black — or, rather, what “black” meant to her, a white woman. That’s what creeped people out so much.
BJJ.
Nope. THAT is off limits. Always.
I participate in a male-dominated sport. And I can’t even count all the times some guy has said to me, “The only reason that move worked on me was because you caught me off guard.”
I’m making myself crazy responding to these awful people, but I just can’t stop.
Houston is a “majority-minority” city so it’s interesting to watch all you phony so-called liberals get some weird glee in the suffering here. Hmmmmm.
There is some speculation on Twitter that this author and whoever penned “My Immortal,” the infamous Harry Potter fanfic, are the same person.
Luckily for Jon, the only person in the Seven Kingdoms aware of his parentage is Bran
With extra-pointy-toed black heels, naturally. Made me feel SO sophisticated.
I was also in the Midwest during this phase.
Yeah, still holding out hope she’s playing the game better than she seems to be.
Agreed. It’s Arya’s issue. Hence my numerous other posts saying that. If she was half as smart as she thinks she is, she’d be asking Sansa questions instead of attacking her.
I just watched the scene and it’s not really clear that Arya is seeing/processing what Sansa is doing. There are no shots that suggest she’s even looking at Sansa losing her mind. She’s either looking at the crowd, looking down, looking at her father, or her view is blocked by the crowd/Yoren. I forget how it happens…
