You can get a real racing kart used for around that. It'll be much more durable and way faster.

Honestly, I think the biggest problem is that there are too many "idea guys" doing Kickstarters and getting funded. There are too many people who are asking for funding to START game development, which is absolutely stupid to do. A team should only go to Kickstarter once they actually have some of their game…
