This headline is amazingly confusing. I thought they were going to pay Lyft drivers to not use their cars.

One summer day I made a stop at the hardware store to get a propane tank refill for my grill and then another stop at the pool store for a couple of cases of chlorine. On the drive home I thought, “There’s a possibility this could turn out very badly.”
Literally one of my worst cargo related fears. I transport propane tanks with some regularity inside my SUV and this extremely rare scenario is constantly running through my mind. It’s why I always keep the rear most windows open when transporting propane tanks if I can.
This. So much this. I’d like to add cost to that. I commute to Boston every day for work, 50mi round trip. I do it in my ‘12 GMC sierra and I average 17mpg. The commuter rail is also 1mi from my house in case I want to take that.
Public transit would be the best way for most people to get around every city, and most suburbs and towns, if only it were good enough, both in terms of time and comfort.
Someone should have had the forethought to specify an even larger penalty per bike that is destroyed — say $200 per bike. That would create a proper incentive for the company to realize that most of these bikes are in fact repairable, and for far less than that.
I’m here to support “it’s their business.” The city pushed the operating cost so high that the business folded. The only thing left for the business was to try to recoup losses by selling on hand assets for scrap. Most people think donating your inventory is free; however, it takes some amount of labor and…
Stop crying. It’s their bikes and their business; they can do whatever they want.
This is such a Brad comment.
Take a deep breath Brad.
That guy’s career is definitely all washed up.
First things first, this guy is an asshole.
That’s a dick move, no matter how hot it is.
Counterpoint: That guy’s an asshole and your nice write up wont be enough to wash away his sins.
15 of 19, per the article, but I couldn’t remember the exact number either. That info was sure buried and ignored quickly, wasn’t it?
All or most of the 9/11 terrorists were of Saudi origin right?
This is the correct take - living within your means is so uncool nowadays.
I don’t get it, either. I’ve got a pretty high salary and only one kid, and I’m still usually looking at used stuff in the $20K-30K range. Then again, people seem to talk like $500+ a month for a car is normal, so I guess I’m just out of touch.
Or scenario 3: Todd bumped it into neutral by accident and does not want to admit this to Terry. Fuckin’ Todd!
The most impressive part is that it’s a 98 Ram with no rust.
