You’re trying to tell me that there were also 4 Democrats as co-sponsors? Oh, hmmm, maybe we shouldn’t be tribal about it.

This isn’t a “Republicans and Democrats are the same” post. But calling out Republicans when they do shitty stuff, and then when a shitty bill comes from Democrats and Republicans and not mentioning who supports it does not serve the public well. Call out the Democrats when they do shitty things too.

You know, the part where you said Operation Warp speed had nothing to do with it being developed and Pfizer said it did.

While you’re right, I bet you don’t actually feel strongly about the murders, just the political points you think you can score. Because I doubt you feel this way about, say, Obama and his drone strikes.

This is a bad take. Even Pfizer has admitted that operation Warp Speed was part of the reason they were able to develop the vaccine so fast, from the expedited approval process to the guarantee of purchase from the US Government.

Have you actually seen the statistics on who is opposed to the vaccine? It’s not primarily Trump fans. There needs to be a real collaborative effort to show people from all walks and sides of the aisle that this vaccine is safe.

What I don’t get with the “Good Place” ending: The rush seemed very fake. Like, it’s believable that eternal happiness with no struggles could lead to your brain becoming mush- but it’s not believable that it would happen so fast you had to come up with a plan that would impact everyone forever in mere hours.

I think it’s important to realize that she both could have a good point she was making and that her actions led to a justifiable firing.

You know what you call an anti-vaxxer during the Trump Administration? An Anti-Vaxxer. And this anti-science will lead to people dying.

Everyone likes to be outraged by this list, but the top 250 passwords used *have* to be bad passwords, by definition. There is no way any of my passwords are on this list because if you have a good password, no one else in the world will be using it. This list doesn’t mean “most people use bad passwords” or anything

The ICBM was not in orbit, and it being destroyed would not give it the delta-v required to boost it into orbit, so all of that stuff will be burning up in the atmosphere.

All it is, is a way to lower the required down payment. Say the closing costs are $10k. The buyer pays them, but the sale price of the house is $10k more. That way, seller gets the same money, but buyer needs $10k less cash on hand to close.

Being pro-science doesn’t just mean climate change and other “politically charged” issues- you also have to be pro-science on things like this. COVID-19 isn’t be transmitted via surfaces. Stop adding unnecessary fear to this discussion.

Yeah. What’s your point? Pfizer wasn’t part of operation Warp Speed. And Biden has nothing to do with the Pfizer vaccine.

Trump had nothing to do with this vaccine, but neither will Biden. This mentality is about as stupid as a MAGA mentality.

Anyone who is glad a vaccine came later than earlier because they’re afraid a vaccine would help someone’s political chances is someone too wrapped up in politics. Trump’s a piece of shit, but the earlier we can get a vaccine the better, even if it “helps Trump.”

The feature I’m shocked these map apps don’t have, and the fact that they’re all based out of SF I would assume the engineers would also want, is “I can use the carpool lane” option.

It is a formatting issue. It was supposed to be written as 10 to the 10 to the 115th power, but Gizmodo doesn’t properly format the double caret for some reason.

This is a really weird take. It appears your argument is both “it doesn’t matter what it’s made out of because it’s in a case” and also “I demand a phone be made out of glass or metal because it’s more expensive, even if it doesn’t make it better.” Is that the crux of your position?
