The problem is, if you’re paying $300+ for noise cancelling headphones, you want good noise cancellation. If the noise cancellation sucks, I might as well just get really good $150 headphones that have all of these “wow” features and sound better. As soon as your review of noise cancelling headphones say “the noise can

Hold up, you want to fix low payment by driving the prices even lower? Because that is exactly what would happen here.

“While the intent is to punish Huawei, ultimately U.S. companies are also being penalized.”

The MCU makes a lot of money, but I think calling it “culturally relevant” is a stretch. There’s been, what, 22 MCU movies so far? And how many of them will be re-watched 5 years from now? 4 or 5 of them?

While that’s true for regular cars, these are very special, order, limited release vehicles.

Yeah, literally the only thing people are basing their draft rankings on is the media draft rankings. Everyone mocked the Browns for taking Mayfield #1 last year, but maybe- just maybe- there were other teams which saw what they saw and planned on jumping on him.

I think it has some merit (even if the wording could be better). How many people gave the EmDrive way more credibility than it deserved because it was a “NASA paper” as opposed to “a paper published by someone who works at NASA”?

It’s not Uber and Lyft’s fault that taxis suck. There was a need left by the fact that, almost universally, the service offered by taxis was terrible. Long gone is the day when the taxi drivers actually know their way around a city. Now, if you hop in a taxi, you also have to be their navigator. And god forbid you’re

“If you did receive slightly higher paychecks in 2018, did it feel like you were getting a tax benefit—or do you still feel like you missed out on that tax cut you were promised?”

I’m not sure any Star Wars has ever even tried to do a coherent ship design. Every movie they just sort of make whatever they want- which makes sense, they’re like new models of cars which change every couple of years.

People are making big assumptions about a laugh in a trailer. There’s a lot of ways he can be a part of the movie without him being the new “main” villian.

I feel like people are drawing a lot of conclusions from a trailer which really doesn’t show any plot. While the trailer, stylistically, looks like TFA, I think that’s to be expected as it’s a JJ movie, but story wise it could follow a lot of threadsTLJ set up.

If you call a Time Out on your own side of the court, you have to re-inbound from under the basket. That’s why they had to advance past the half court line.

Schools do this to force opposing teams to play man defense. At least in IN, there is no shot clock but there is a closely guarded rule. Our high school was normally big underdogs at basketball, but the one year we had one really good player, we’d do this to force the team into man-on-man so we could set up plays for

I don’t actually know if there is something wrong with the 737 Max, but the comments here and other places really remind me of the discussion which was had after the Toyota “unintended acceleration” problem from a few years back- tons of armchair experts expressing confidence they knew the problem, only for it to turn

Ah, an article where the author pretends he doesn’t understand the main point of the article he’s attacking, just so he can claim the author of the article supports fascism.

I know we’re getting off topic here, but I also didn’t like Rogue One. I don’t think a good final 30 minutes makes up for a convoluted first 120.

Oh man, this zinger never gets old.

Question: does this actually happen more at AirBnBs than at hotels? I feel before AirBnB was a thing, we heard about stuff like this happening at hotels a lot. For instance, the Erin Andrews story was at a hotel.

A keypad on the driver’s door to unlock the car/pop the trunk. It’s just so handy to have a way for someone to get into your car without having to give them a key.
