“Oh man, I am so excited they’re making a sequel to Happy Gilmore!  That’ll definitely be good!

That is true, I hadn’t even thought of that angle...

Oh definitely. Though Defying Gravity is definitely the most popular song from the original, so I honestly think they might open the sequel with doing that again lol.

I actually totally understand hiding the fact that it’s a two-part thing. People are put off by it and will simply wait for the second one to come out so they can see both. You can see by the big outrage of people after Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse ended on a cliffhanger, or the underperforming sales of Mission

I mean, it’s a proven fact that some people just don’t like musicals, so the point of hiding it is to, ideally, trick those potential viewers into paying for a ticket for a movie genre they don’t really enjoy that much.

*shoots Evan Peters in the chest 10 times, turns to camera*

Oh yeah it's not BAD (though I thought the start was pretty rough) but I was just saying it's definitely not the same as what's in that article

Woman Of Tomorrow is an adaptation of Tom King’s comic series of the same name. King’s Woman Of Tomorrow is an angsty origin story that sees a despondent Kara Zor-El dealing with the destruction of her home planet and a mission to protect her cousin Kal-El, who turns out to be Superman, so he doesn’t need her

Yeah, no matter what Feige or anyone at Marvel says about this always being part of the plan, to me this will always feel like it was created to capitalize on a popular meme moment that some foolish exec thought would genuinely last long enough to get a whole-ass TV show made.

Yeah I’m kind of surprised no one else has done that (well, since 2016 when it last aired). I mean, it obviously wouldn’t be on main ESPN since they usually have some actual sports games on, and it obviously wouldn’t work on regular Jeopardy’s every weekday schedule, but like, surely on one ESPN2 or one of the other

I was talking about the apostrophe placement/lack of another s but yeah the uppercase G is weird because it seems like multiple sites use lower and multiple use upper. I mean, I know Wikipedia is hardly an “official” information source but they go upper so I think that one’s right.

Can we all just agree that Rise of Skywalker is the fucking worst.

Why not both?  Having a passion for a movie that will definitely get outrage clicks!

That “Sometimes I let matches burn down to my fingertips to feel something, anything” from ITSV is one of my favorite lines ever and it rings in my head any time I see something in a movie or show that I think is trying too hard to be gritty.

Kinda surprised it’s taken this long for someone to say something about Robbins personally. Usually whenever he comes up it’s in a way where everyone’s like “he must have known something” but a level of plausible deniability there.

There’s already a decent bit of pop culture already on Jeopardy.  I mean not to slam pop culture aficionados (after all, I am posting on an entertainment website, so I kind of am one) but this really reads like Prime is just doing “Jeopardy: Easy Mode!”

They bring it back from time to time. Usually the term “celebrity” really gets stretched to include C-listers or folks like various news or sports commentators the same way any other game show (or reality show) with “celebrity” in the title does. So you’re never gonna see an A-lister there... or at least I sure

Now THIS is studying for exams!

In the wake of the recent Hollywood strikes, screenwriters say it’s harder than ever to get a job. Classic 22-episode broadcast seasons used to keep hundreds of artists employed in stable, recurring gigs—now many of those jobs have dried up.

Depends on the show. There are plenty of shows I’ve watched where when it finished I just think “That was it?” because they needed more time to breathe or flesh things out. The ones that suffer the worst for that are (imo) sci-fi shows which need to do a lot of world building fast, along with character stuff and, you
