Oh man this speech. I really thought he was going to set aside the award and his show to bring attention to a country that is too often forgotten by the media and was thrilled he was using his position as an ambassador.

Journalists should refuse to have off the record meetings with him, but he absolutely will not cave and go on the record. He will continue what he did during the campaign — almost exclusively hold interviews with Fox News where he is guaranteed positive coverage.

Yeah I saw that. I think it’s outrageous that anyone but the police would issue a statement on that and don’t trust him until I hear it from official channels.

I really hope this isn’t the case of them misidentifying the shooter again. For fuck’s sake you can wait until the cops make an announcement before accusing people based on eyewitnesses spotting an ID card.

The fact that a second season is up in the air makes me very nervous about this adaptation. I assumed it was a miniseries that would run the plot of the book. I’m worried now that there will be a frustrating number of liberties taken.
