Troublegum.
Troublegum.
The procedures aren’t parallel at all. Abortion is safe, optional, and purposeful. FGM is the exact opposite. The equation only works in the “if I can’t get this legally, I will just get it illegally and it will be a riskier procedure” sense, not if you think of whether it’s justified.
FGM is without a doubt wrong and unacceptable and should be outlawed. But, on the other hand, much like abortion* if it becomes illegal that doesn’t mean everyone will stop doing it — it means when it is done it will be in back alleys with unclean equipment. I don’t have an alternative, I just worry about what this…
Certainly did for Jessica Alba. Seems like an awfully squiggly line in the sand to me.
Marie Claire should be docked a point — they may have Selena Gomez’s name on the cover but I have no idea who that is in the photo.
This is an incredible idea to take one of the more difficult tasks off of the plate of caregivers. I’m going to look into this for my grandmother — mild dementia and general weakness have made her less functional but don’t seem to have dulled her pride and confidence (“IM NOT A BABY I CAN WIPE MY OWN DAMN SELF”).
It can still be considered part of an established abusive relationship, yes.
Done that. Also the draping a cold wet towel trick. Neither of them work as well as an AC.
And do what, live in a state that also necessitates air conditioning for comfortable living in summer months but doesn’t have a fire department that issues advisories about set up?
That sentence only makes sense in places with dry heat. Even then it only makes sense if you can purchase a dozen fans and point them directly at any area of your apartment that you may be sitting or standing for an extended period of time.
“What’s my motivation?”
I don’t disagree with that, I just don’t think personal experience is require to convey it (think of child actors like the kid in room, who certainly hadn’t spent his entire life in a windowless one room bunker). Divas aren’t young because of the training involved, not the emotion. But fair enough, have a nice day.
Exactly. Also she’s not a supermodel by any definition of the word. She’s an actress who does high falutin commercials and some print ads.
Oh I’m not talking about the skill, that definitely comes with training and experience — nothing really compares to opera in that regard.
I agree with that in a lot of ways but then I think of Michael Jackson at 6 or this little girl pulling off a song which should be the same issue and feel like a kid can pull off the required emotion if they’re a good actor.
Yeah she's Romanian but born in the US (she says it during her intro - I watched because I love a good conspiracy theory). I assume that people latch onto any smaller ones they can get away with citizenship wise and hope to work heir way up.
It’s definitely weird (link here), but she was singing a different song so at least it’s for sure a different performance. Maybe it’s her lucky outfit?
Opera’s hard to judge on shows like this because unless you have a basis for comparison, even if the person is only decent an aria is going to sound impressive just by nature of the range covered and the way the booming sound is inherently incredible and powerful.
THE MONSTER
Ah, well there goes that theory. Guy is still a major douche though.
