I’m pretty sure the term ride-sharing is meant as (and appears to be defined as) getting a ride in a vehicle by the vehicle owner. Even then, they do still offer the more traditional “carpooling” setup wherein the driver is actually trying to get to a nearby destination as well. Semantics.
