Why the shot at Monreal? He's played well this season, especially considering he's been moved in out of his preferred position with frequency. Gibbs will have to earn that spot back. Seems like Monreal's critics outnumber his faults.

Seems likely she was in trouble for being in the men's room, right?

Near post, off the post.

How is this news?

I'm curious as to what impact this will have on the excellent Reel Rock videos. Also, if set up properly highlining is probably safer than trad/sport climbing. It seems like every week you read about another climber decking, but you don't see that about highliners. Luckily Clif bars are gross anyway.

No, no, they went nuts when we scored. They just called it a loss when Z-Bo's shot missed with .6 left.

Also, where the fuck is the "clear" tip?

The Grizzlies play-by-play announcers called it a loss a minute earlier. So much fun.

I've got a Wayne Ellington Grizzlies jersey. Hate this for him. He always seemed like a good guy and has a beautiful shooting motion.

Tony being Tony.

I'm not saying he's particularly good. He's just England's best.

He's not ONE of the league's best. He is the league's best. A statement about the quality of premiership officiating, not his level.

Nah. Howard Webb had a nasty habit for shitting the bed in big situations and waving play on instead of making legitimate calls in hostile stadiums.

Somehow this man is England's top official.

The distinction is in the fact that their main role is to create attacks from deep positions. Making them deep-lying playmakers which is absolutely Cesc and Modric's role. It's not the same role that Matuidi and Touré play at all, which is why the distinction is more than just splitting hairs. They do contribute, to

He hasn't. He plays from deeper but he's not box to box. He plays a similar role to Cesc.

I can think of Man City, Chelsea, Bayern, Paris, Juventus, Madrid as a top 6, in some order. With Touré playing how he is City are probably the first to drop out.

He's not in the same conversation as Modric and Cesc because those two play an entirely different role. "Not drinking the Kool Aid" is looking a lot like code for "not understanding how midfields work."

I'm gonna disagree there. Matuidi is probably a top 3-5 box to box midfielder in the world. Motta is a better complaint, but he occasionally has games where he plays absolutely out of his mind that buy him a bit more consideration. They really need a better central playmaker though to float in front of Veratti and

I don't know that motivation is the problem to the extent that you posit. I don't think it's any surprise that PSG have looked their best when Pastore has played a bigger role, as he's really the only true advanced playmaker Paris have (with Lucas being a decent option for that role). Cavani is wasted on the wing
