I came here to say something like this, I think the movie is deeply clear on its value system, and I didn’t feel there was much ambiguity about it. It’s even made explicitly clear by Essel before Gawain begins the journey.

I respectfully disagree, I mean there is plenty of plot there. It’s certainly not exciting, but I felt like the ending more than paid off the time spent. It’s not one that must be seen in a theatre for the full effect.
16 huh? I have a 2012 and would take 15. Have him reach out to.
Indeed, the Times is obviously doing better than ever at the moment, but it generally appears to be a very sick organization overall. That’s probably a story that Jezebel doesn’t have the scope to break, but I hope someone does at some point.
Because you don’t really need Rukmini to talk about Mills, and certainly not the reverse.
I don’t really know anyone in my field who feels like Callimachi was actually punished either for this, and I certainly don’t. They did everything they could to explain that nothing was untoward with the reporting until they no longer could, they didn’t fully retract the work, and they reassigned her instead of firing…
That would be the point in almost all other cases or if you discussed them each individually. If this article were about Lizza or Thrush or Lauer or the others it would make perfect sense. And Mills’ issues are absolutely deserving of scrutiny and action. However, because of Callimachi’s horrible reporting job…
I feel like this is a very odd place to build a case about who is accountable. People who study and research the Middle East (of which I am one) have LONG known Callimachi to be an uncredible and credulous reporter - she reports on the Arab world and doesn’t speak Arabic. She’s had several occasions where she’s had to…
My last grandparent is 98, and this is likely his last Christmas with us and one of the last times I will see him, if not the last. Not everyone can afford to skip.
He won in the way Trump won in 2016 - by receiving fewer votes than his competitor.
Is that how Sanders won like half of Latino voters in the primaries?
Jesus.
Or why Bernie and his supporters even need to be brought up here? But it was of course always the Sanders supporters being rude and picking fights online.
Churches and movie studios are very different things that sell very different things to their audience. There’s a good reason to call out a tax exempt organization selling salvation to its audience while literally not practicing what it preaches.
He was always trash.
He’s in Idaho, so unless he’s in a couple places, I doubt he payed all that much.
It’s the left who are rigid, he said, having announced he may not have voted against Trump if it meant supporting broadly popular policies good for the vast majority of the country.
Imagine posting about how the left is the problem in an article about giving Rahm Emmanuel a high profile job. Normie libs are beyond repair.
I find it so weird that the NBA gives so little attention to Memphis. I know it’s a small market, but the team and city are such a hub for a lot of what the league is about right now.
I get that this is fairly grotesque coming from her, but, as a non-wealthy introvert, I’ve deeply enjoyed working exclusively from home and staying in to putter around at my various hobbies and interests. It’s become a little more difficult as it’s become more indefinite, but it’s still been a mental boon for a select…
