Yes, and in such cases a clever driver would secure the hood to the frame with a strong nylon cord, before resuming the race. Missing doing so is not only a problem for him (of which I couldn’t care less) but poses a serious risk to the safety of all the other drivers, not to talk of the spectators and of the marshals.
