My initial instinct was an automatic disqualification for the “Salt Life” sticker (it’s an irrational pet peeve of mine, especially when I see them in landlocked central/western Pennsylvania), but I ended up going Nice Price, just because it takes me back to my high school parking lot. I had a 1984 Firebird and then a

Came here for the Butter Burgers and custard. Was not disappointed. One of the few things I miss about my time in Wisconsin.

My dad bought his friend’s 1984 Corvette about a decade ago after said frien’ds passing and then passed it down to me when he decided he didn’t want to work on it anymore. I don’t know who exactly his friend took it to for maintenance/repairs, but they clearly didn’t have a clue as to what they were doing, and, as a

A coworker died in a car crash while a passenger in a Tesla over Easter weekend where speed was the primary factor for the accident, and Jalopnik didn’t cover it. I guess it never occurred to me that this site had an anti-Tesla agenda.

I’m not a huge fan of Audis (due largely, I think, to the stigma of the reputation of their drivers), but this is a very nice looking car that appears to have been as well maintained as claimed in the ad.

They don’t have to pay them off, probably. This is a town of 2200 people, these guys are likely more concerned with going home to their families every night and more than content to just sit back and let the DEA handle the cartel.

My thoughts exactly - this is an excellent looking, and likely excellent driving, car, but there’s too many “gremlins” for $35K, no matter the logo on the hood.

As a Pennsylvania resident who was raised to respect the outdoors, people like this make me sick.

The Venn Diagram of those groups is basically a perfect circle.

You’re a kinder person than I am. I was hoping it was directly in the taint.

I went Nice Price on this one, with the caveat that it’s definitely not for me. I like the look of these cars, but I’m 6'3", 250 pounds, so fit is definitely an issue.

My sister has the VW Touareg version of this, and, as much I hate diesels, I have to admit that it’s a really nice vehicle. I was surprised by the quality of the interior and how quiet the cabin is, even when accelerating. I can only imagine the Porsche version is even nicer. NP.

I love this write-up. The tone, the description, the photos - it was perfect for the subject (and the poor, unfortunate soul who has made it the object of his desire).

“They weigh WAY less than a car (1700lbs), and you don’t need to learn to drive a motorcycle.”

I can remember back in 2008, when regular unleaded was over $4/gallon in upstate New York, pretty much every time I was filling up, the gas would literally be dripping into my tank and I’d silently curse when someone pulled up and started pumping on the opposite side from me, because I knew my seven minute fill up was

“Are there mysterious red stains on the ground?”

From her saying that they’ve been engaged for a while, she’s already experienced at least part of one football season with him, so I think the only big difference is her spending time with his teammates. As you said, that could potentially be a dealbreaker for her, but at least she knows how rigorous his in-season

If they want a former MMA fighter who may or may not be able to act, Miesha Tate is certainly an upgrade, personality-wise. She pretty much tweets about MMA (she’s still a pundit on a show) and motherhood. Admittedly, though, I haven’t been on Twitter a lot lately, so that could have changed.

Western Pennsylvania here - too many Confederate flags for my taste. Far too many. But I also live in an area where everyone wants the Steelers to fire Mike Tomlin, so I shouldn’t be surprised.

I don’t think it works like that any more, but my uncle ended up in the Marines because he was given the option of that or jail. He would be 68 this year, so that was probably at least a half-century ago.
