Wow. Sounds like this dude is a compulsive liar. None of those things sound very believable and pulling out the cancer card because he's scared she'll leave him is hella manipulative. Hopefully she'll notice all this sooner rather than later.

I fully expect my sister to do this with the stray dog she picked up last year. It's a sweet little thing but it desperately needs some training to be able to settle into the household. That requires a consistent effort on my sister's part so it definitely won't happen. Instead she is crating it for far too long

Ugh. My stepdad is one of those people- we had trouble house training my puppy when I was 13 so he found someone to take him. Same thing with two other dogs we got that we really didn't have the training and resources to handle. He takes on animals with no thought as to how our family would deal with them and them

I cannot read those types of postings. Like, what makes you think that if YOU don't want your 14 year old disabled dog, someone else will? Especially when you're trying to sell it for money...fuckers...

I did that once in a Facebook post (something like, "I'd love to come, but I'm a poor.") Immediately edited that to add "Not actually a poor, but too low on funds for fancy cocktails."

I keep doing it and i realize i have to stop — stupid habit!

Tell him it's a perfectly good excuse to sit on his butt and eat pizza while watching TV, and then afterwards lots of anxiety free sex! Who's gonna say no?

Yeah, I draw a definite distinction between "broke" [which I am] and "poor" [which I am not], but I feel like if you are not a person who cares about semantics, you probably don't? I am with you, though, it is really obnoxious to put "I can't afford drinks AND dinner out AND concert tickets, I have to choose!" to "I

Everybody's getting what they want, baby-wise, or baby-not-wise! Hooray!

Good news for me, after 2 years I have passed a course I've been doing in my spare time so hopefully I can get a new job :-)
