Alright, I was on the Tesla bashing train for a good while when this news broke, but now that I watch the video I see less “FSD is to blame!” than hundreds of people being used to following too closely while traveling too fast and being distracted.

Too low and the tires still aren’t thicc enough. :(
That’s not how restaurants work though. Could McDonald’s make me a quiche? Absolutely, they have all the ingredients to do so. But it’s not on their menu, they haven’t developed a recipe, trained the cooks how to make it, or run the numbers on the cost vs revenue to know how much to charge for it. Chipotle isn’t in…
Doctor, sure, but with hot dog fingers.
So what, am I supposed to just throw out my Aston One Seven Seven?
Exactly. Comparing a 747 to anything electric is currently ridiculous. Look at any twin turboprop, or a region jet. They’re low altitude, low speed flights that last maybe an hour. Cape Air has 88 Cessna 402C piston-engined aircraft that anyone who’s been to the Caribbean has probably flow on. They’re excellent little…
250 miles is useful, as many popular commuter flights are around that distance. Boston to NYC is about 200 miles and about 45 minutes of flight time. If that were closer to an hour or so given the slower prop plane, it wouldn’t really be much of an issue. The problem is that this plane in the above photo, that is…
People have to realize that we don’t need to convert absolutely everything. If we can get 80% of the transport system to move away from carbon based fuels, we will do wonders in reducing emissions.
That sounds absolutely terrible, like he’s making beef mush.
I think Tesla would need to lose another 10-25x from their market cap to be even remotely affordable for Toyota.
We never had those but we DID have Corndog 7 where we used to joke that EVERYTHING is fried even the drinks. But man they had the best fries, and I just looked that have only 2 locations now one in Houma, LA and one in Laurel, MS. And they STILL look straight out of the 1970's design wise.
Shockingly, yes. Still surviving in whatever malls haven’t been turned into “residential/retail live/work urban concept”
Get your dad to look at a 3rd gen used Prius. It is quite a bit better than what he has already.
yeah - I was excited about this prius, but they changed the point of the car. The second third and 4th gen prii had useable backseats. They were true 4-5 passenger vehicles. You can use them for delivery with the huge hatch. Airport runs because of the trunk and passengers. Plus a general family car or pickup it was…
I’m 53 and literally yelled ‘about damned time!’ when I saw this new design. Why can’t car companies make modern looking cars (let alone futuristic ones) in this modern era?
Oct 28 Tesla traded at $228 dollars a share. Today it trades at $159. Thats not an echo chamber. on January third it traded for $400. Tesla’s stock is tied to Musk’s public perception. And right now it isnt good.
The 4th gen Prius already has a low roof. I’m only 5’8” and like to sit up straight for ergonomics. I drive a lot. My head is about a fist length from hitting it, so this is concerning.
The styling is aggressive but clean. Its a solid 6/10. compared to the 1-3/10 they have made the past decade or more, its a LARGE improvement.
If it doesn’t have a bathroom or tornado-proofing, they didn’t go far enough.
