While I fully support modding cars, especially ones that weren’t that great to begin with, I don’t think this is a great candidate for modding. Whoever buys this will be paying a premium for an unmolested, undriven car. That value will almost certainly go down as soon as one bolt from the engine mount is changed. Yes

I must know more.. does it have a name?

Why does Jalopnik let BMW and others get away with this “coupe” bullshit? I mean, I get that the car is officially called the Gran Coupe, but that doesn’t mean you have to use that name. The article refers to it as the Gran Coupe no less than 22 times. Why not just say 840i? Or better yet, just Gran. Like someone’s

But why? Couldn’t they just use the  electricity being generated by the alternator to feed the battery? It just seems weird to have regen braking on the front wheels all the time rather than just have it like every other hybrid system with the gas engine powering the alternator, feeding the battery.

Edit: I meant 14 grams of gold would be about $800, not $80.

The irony is that consuming edibles sometimes (often) makes people want to eat more, creating a potential for a dangerous cascade effect if people do get the munchies and eat the whole bag.

Depends on how you define “solid gold can.” Yes, if something the shape of a beer can were solid gold all the way through, then it’s probably worth a ton of money. I’m going to assume you’re doing that calculation and that you’ve done your math right.

It’s ambiguous. Brew Dog misstated the composition of the can, but apparently not the value. So to the extent that prospective winners relied on the promise of payment, they relied on the value not the composition and those terms were clear. In other words, someone who sought to win this contest might reasonably have

NO LOWBALLERS I KNOW WHAT I HAVE

It actually might not be bad as a vertical marijuana grow house...

I had to drive one of those because the rental car company said they were out of the car I reserved, and they “upgraded” me. What a gawdawful vehicle that is. I returned it the next day because it literally wouldn’t fit in the garage of my rental home.

I just learned portal axles are a thing… then you can put tires on as thicc as you goddam like.

Yes, this is the Menu. Apparently the writer of The Menu was inspired after eating at Noma. He said it was “like being held hostage.”

They’re not making a quiche in a hamburger restaurant though, they’re just putting some veg (already made) into a quesadilla

I’m actually trying to convince my dad to get a new car, and he loves his current Prius. I would like to see him go full electric but he isn’t ready for that yet.

Why not “lean in” on this and just serve people what they want to eat?

What about the Prius Prime? That’ll have 220 hp, which with the electric motor, should make for a pretty zippy ride. For a Prius, anyway.

But you can get a GDM wagon in brown, not “manual” but PDK, which is even better (fight me).
