Ah I totally get that. And I remember thinking at the time how much I love films that are 'about' nature, etc, but that are self conscious about being filmed as well. Like, things that people despise like lens flare and snow landing on the camera, breath fogging it, etc. I love that stuff. So I think I did appreciate…
I guess I don't know much about film camera lenses!
I found a lot of the compositions to be quite visually inspiring but as I say I don't know enough about the subject so I didn't see what someone knowledgeable would.
Adam Baldwin can survive anything
She's been in a lot of things in the last couple of years and TDG was by far the worst (and my least favourite performance of hers) (yes I'm including Seventh Son and The Fifth Estate) so I'll pretend it's for a kind of an amalgam of Testament of Youth, Ex Machina and A Royal Affair.
I volunteer as tribute
Johann Johannsson is in like the top two of my favourite soundtrack composers.
What's terrible about it?
no for drinking whisky
I love everything Noe has ever made! You were doing something very worthwhile.
These are pretty addictive reads, I think. I remember racing through them the first time.
My own smugness is that I read them (the ones that were out then) long before there was any talk of a TV series. I think my kind - the 'I liked it before you even heard of it' kind - are by far the worst.
I used to do some work for her sister. She was a particularly annoying client.
Not speaking for her here, just myself, but - that's a large part of the appeal.
One of those films that whenever anyone mentions it I immediately want to rewatch it.
I'm saving this as an iPlayer treat for later in the week. Can't wait.
The Handsome Family are cool.
I definitely still have cognitive dissonance on this one. When she kept interrupting the tour guide I just thought it was the most obnoxious thing ever, and that dizzy tone just made it so much worse.
Don't apologise, it's great to have such a well considered and comprehensive answer! Thank you!
I tend to find things scarier than maybe most do, because I'm a wimp and also because I love going to horror films and getting scared in that safe space, so psychologically I want them to be scary. Sinister & its sequel…
What sort of thing are you looking for in terms of scary? Is it about themes, or about the kinds of things that happen? Do you think those films had moments that were intended to be scary but failed, or do you think they didn't try? Is it about a quantity of scary moments? I kind of think both those films had…
It's great that it's still OK for people to talk about Briga Heelan's looks, though.
