Creme de violet ice cream sounds amazing. A local place to me used to do rose flavour, and I loved it. If I wasn't trying to be more vegan I'd be thinking about ways to make one with violet liqueur now. (Chocolate/peppermint is a classic favourite too of course)

fair enough. not every single time

Jauja? It's great. Unusual, slow, captivating.

at least you have an excellent username. I love Rod Stewart

I suppose some of what's interesting is suggested when you say "she's being held against her will." What does it mean for her to have will? Can she even have will, as a created being? Does her will mean she has rights? How can we reconcile that with our ideas about our own free will? And by extension, humanity, etc,…

It's such a staple, whenever I hear of a real life mass shooting I wonder if one person was a particular target…

Me too! At least, I do a lot of editorial work (I'm a freelancer and I do various different things).

I wish you wouldn't, though!

So someone's cat walked across the keyboard a few dozen times?

Ah, fair enough, and apologies - I haven't re-read the review since the day it was posted and didn't think to check. I've edited my post.

Oh shit I forgot to do this.

I saw it! He was great in it.
I really like when he does stuff like Louie and his turn in American Hustle. Just as good as when he's all about the muscles and action etc.

Cumberbatch is 39 and has been in loads of things since about 2002 as well - seems fairly similar really?

That's why they put Tom Cruise on a box!

I really like Renner.
That is all.

I was riveted when I saw it in the cinema, but I know we all have days when we're tired and something that's quite soft and hypnotic can end up making you doze off.

That's it - it perhaps doesn't stick in the mind as much as it should, hence people forgetting it when poll time comes.

Hiddleston is ludicrously attractive. Like, ridiculously so. A lot of it is he has charisma. I do like Tom Hardy too, he can be very hot. Christian Bale - I have to admit, the sexiest I've ever found him was in American Hustle. He was so sweet and funny in that. Normally he's too kind of chiselled.

where's my film about how lonely chubby women can now order a Tom Hiddleston-a-like robot to take them out to dinner and kiss them romantically under the stars? no, I didn't think so

Oglaf's Sithrak is kind of a brilliant take on this.
