I think sexual attraction is a lot more complicated than this article would indicate.

Her publicist probably recommended that she take it. If it's controversial, even more publicity.

I followed the link to the original article. It says she separated the sexes in the classrom and told the girls to bend over. It doesn't say that she took them into another room or met with each one privately. If you interpret the original article differently, say so. But you should read it beforehand.

I think I would be extremely concerned to find out that a school official lined up the girls along a wall and made them bend over in front of the class while commenting on her clothes. I would not consider that to be teaching her to protect her reputation. That's calling open season on her for the rest of the

I grew up in a town with one high school. Where would I go?

I would totally wear this visor! My nose sunburns indoors if I sit in. a sunny spot.

Thanks for this courageous post.

I must not be chaste because this made me laugh in public...

You are wrong to blame Rick Riordan. The books got it right. It was the movie version that made Hades the same as Satan, and not the ruler of the underworld. My friends were shocked when I ranted about this after the movie - that Hades also rules what we would consider heaven (the Elysian Fields).

Did you guys miss this column by Meredith Woerner on sister site iO9? She hits all my feelings about what they did to my favorite Disney villain.

jifaner13 is correct. The biggest mistake most beginners make with grilled cheese is to not use low heat on the first side. If you are using a cheese with a really high melting point, grate it instead of slicing it. I put the heat on medium low and cover my sandwich with a pot lid. This will help the cheese melt

When you consider that teenagers caught streaking end up on the sex offender registry, I think there is a larger discussion needed. As far as Google goes, I think that they are going to have to

I liked the bar one because they are all clearly fans of the show. The other clips showed people who had clearly never watched the show before. To them, therefore, it was simply gross.

We have to notice that there is a lot more discussion of mental health after an incident sparked by hatred of women, rather than the recent incidents sparked by hatred for Jews or Muslims (that guy who attached the Sikh temple thought they were Muslim).

I hadn't heard that the police didn't view the videos until today. Clearly, police need more training in dealing with the mentally ill. All he had to do to avoid the police taking him in was to seem calm and in control during a very brief interview.

Additionally, if he was a sociopath, he would have plenty of first dates, because he would be charming. I also don't like the equating made by commenter it-really-doesn't-matter that people seeing therapists are insane. If he had a certified mental illness, no one has mentioned it so far. It also seems to me that

The BBT guys are only plain by Hollywood standards. Everyone of them would be considered gorgeous (maybe a little too thin) in a setting of normal people. Men in Hollywood are often too thin for optimal health now. When my mother's generation became feminists, they hoped to end oppression based on looks. Instead,

For my senior photos, the school had a contract with a photography studio downtown. I heard that they would send people home to change if they didn't meet the dress code. The rest of the classes had a standard picture day. Seniors would traditionally get their pictures taken there to with fake names like Ben Dover.

I don't understand why we are teaching children that they have the right to share their private views, religious or otherwise, at any time and in any venue. School is a place to learn, and one of the things to learn is when to say what you think and when not to. I am pretty sure that the fundamentalist Christians

Making them clean up after themselves seems like an appropriate punishment which I would expect most of the kids to take with good humor, remembering the joy and fun they had making the mess, and making constant joyful surprises - "how did taco shells get stuck in the ceiling?" - and less happy ones like "oh my god,
