I’ve been to Vegas multiple times, and the best hack I ever used was a multi-day buss pass; it’s cheaper than taxis and lets you access all the major sights on the new and old strips, and runs 24 hours a day. You can get them pretty easily at public transit hubs, or hotel front desk folks can help procure them as well.
