If you think logic applies to this whole kerfuffle in any way, I applaud your optimism.

James Franco isn’t as good as he or anyone else thinks he is.
Except that it apparently is. It’s worked out pretty well for Trump.
I’m sorry =(
One asshole on the internet doesn’t necessarily represent the whole of public opinion. It is important for everyone, regardless of their political leanings, to have access to vital modern utilities. Tribalism sucks and is, as you pointed out, the source of most of our problems.
In Louis’ case, though, there’s tons of denial before the apology, and the people who still don’t want to believe will point to that as proof. Because that’s how people work now, apparently.
Yeah I genuinely don’t want to hear from them.
This is one of my biggest irrational fears. Whenever I’m in a hotel bathroom, I’m looking out for places where there could be cameras. I guess it’s not that irrational because it does happen, but seemingly not that frequently.
Also: Joe Biden grilled her and treated her like shit in 1991. He was Vice President to a supposedly feminist president (I miss Obama but come on...that was bad) and is still being talked about as a viable Presidential candidate.
My mom said this last night, and I got to explain to her why that attitude is bullshit. It didn’t take long to convince her—she seemed halfhearted when she said it in the first place. I think it’s just what women of her age expect that they’re supposed to say.
At this point, he is being selfish by not resigning. He clearly has a pattern of behavior here. That’s not surprising. Can you imagine someone suddenly deciding they’re comfortable doing the things he was accused of in the first round? These things don’t happen by accident.
THIS. Who could replace him? Literally anyone who doesn’t force sex acts on people. Minnesota’s governor is a democrat.
He will be replaced by a democrat. He needs to go.
Why do you think it’s being reported as if it’s not common, then?
Yeah no way Louis doesn’t bounce back. I remember sitting around a campfire with a bunch of dudebros last summer, talking about Cosby. One of them was saying how Cosby was a monster, and I argued out that no, Cosby is just a human being who got a pass because people like his public persona. The problem isn’t…
The guy who lied about being in the WTC during 9/11 has a job on Nick Kroll’s new show, and most Americans care about that event way more than they do about women. They’ll all bounce back except for maybe Charlie Rose because he’s old and Weinstein because he seems to have burned every bridge available to him. Louis…
Not in a building like 30 Rock. There are so many layers of security before you get to personal offices or dressing rooms.
No way dude. Have you ever worked in an office? No way this wasn’t gossiped about.
I was thinking about that...I think any other reaction would make it too obvious that they knew and said nothing. And that makes it seem all the more disgusting to me. All these people can fuck right off.
“one day Lauer called her into his office, dropped his pants to expose his genitals, and then reprimanded her for quickly leaving the room” - I cannot understand the layers and layers of maladaptive bullshit that has to happen in the human brain for this behavior to seem acceptable in any way. Holy hell. And there’s…
Oooh that sounds right up the alley of where my head is at lately. I’ve been thinking a lot about how much of our entertainment is essentially bloodsport in one way or another, people getting exploited for the sake of some chuckles or cheers. No one wants to hear it—they just want to be entertained. Thanks for the…
