I know! I can’t believe administrators make kids take math and econ classes and fob them off with bullshit answers to their perpetual “When am I ever gonna use this” question, when schools could teach kids math and econ on stuff they’ll use and need to know for the rest of their lives.

Nice, although I look favorably on Barney’s emphasis on cleaning up together in a cheerful manner. :)

I agree on butter, but disagree on raisins. I love how raisins bake/steam.

  • Invoicing. How to read invoices. How to hire contractors to do stuff you don’t know how to do, or are disinclined to do.

I’m pretty sure that all the unfettered access I had to PBS is what turned me into the bleeding heart I am today. It totally works.

Good to know!

Yep. They stopped here in the U.S. a year or two ago. I guess we can just park our kids in front of Netflix? I hadn’t thought about it, but I guess I’ll find out how we handle the loss when my baby’s finally born and old enough for cartoons.

I’m seeing a manlier Gilbert Blythe.

We find 4 cats to be ideal. We also have 2 dogs. I am a strong advocate for just one more kitty cat.

That one always makes me tear up.

Why are you grey? What is even happening?!?!

Thank you for making me smile. It was starting to feel impossible today.

Same. I warn my husband all the time that he can’t count on me in an apocalypse.

But he does refer to the Mall as ‘a monument to all our sins,’ so he’s not blindly pro-Mall, just frustrated at how little people understand what their right to free speech and assembly does and doesn’t cover.

Admittedly, he doesn’t, so we’ve been talking about it, that you have to disrupt the privileged class’s convenience or there’s no reason to pay attention to you because the status quo will remain uninterrupted.

I am pregnant with my first child, a boy, and one of my least rational fears is that my son will grow up and live in a different state or country and rarely visit, like ALL MY MALE FAMILY MEMBERS DO. Apparently, I thought a daughter would stay close? I mean, my sister and I each left for 5—7 years before moving more

According to him, ever since the Mall opened, they have been very cognizant that they are a target of terrorism and general crime. Consequently, they have always worked really closely with police. MOA is very aware of their responsibility to keep their multitude of clients safe and to keep business running smoothly.

That’s totally fair. However, the MOA lawyer was on NPR this morning and stated that they’re not banning it due to the content, but due to their policy. Personally, I’m just annoyed that it’s being reported as “Mall of America Shuts Down Black Lives Matter Protests.” MOA shuts down tons of protests as a matter of

My husband worked at Mall of America as a very young man and constantly had to shut down protesters who didn’t understand or care that the Mall is private property and they don’t allow protests. This isn’t a BLM thing; it’s just their policy. He still gets really tetchy about it, all these years later.

He’s a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle old for my [present] tastes, but he’s what I call “real life hot.” On TV, he’d be cast as the nerdy sidekick but in real life, he’s actually above-average attractive and so interesting your pants just melt away.
