The issue is they are missing a crucial important test. One that tests which one a person will feel safer in if attacked by a bear test.

No, I give far more credit to machines.

What about all those humans driving around you?

I agree, but you first have to get them past the“car is possessed by the devil” part.

Is the highway in the video not divided? Sounds like it is (though can’t see on the video). The car also has crash avoidance features as well. That said, the car is built like a tank, I’d be more worried about the other side in event of a collision.

And through all this time you still trust humans? I call selection bias.

The answer is simple. LOCATION. The Model X is not out globally yet. So those who buy in the US get a go at it earlier than those who preordered it in a different country.

What gullwing doors? You mean falconwing doors? (2 hinges instead of 1)

Tesla does updates differently then everyone else. They don’t wait for model years or etc. In this case it is just a facelift with a few minor feature updates. They also updated the interior.

Many people like the option of not having a center console because it allows them to do things like place a purse there or a bag there with easy access. But those that need a center console, one is available.

So you are comparing a prototype vs a built car?

Also, Model S cars do have an option for a center console. But some prefer without it. IT is good to have options.

Tesla builds a lot of things in-house, but they don’t build everything in-house. No one said they do.

Yes and no. Sometimes they do make them to the specifications of the manufacturer, but that does not mean it actually meets though specifications. Think about it like yields, you have high quality yields and low quality yields. You sort through the yields during QA and those that do not fit quality are either disposed

Pedestrians on a highway?

Hard to say, but based on overall ques, probably “like a spaceship”. But also optimize for drag. Such as Tesla Model 3 being 0.21 drag coefficient.

I personally think Tesla is thinking bigger when it comes to style. They are just going 1 version at a time towards the new style. Musk said in the past that he wants to radically change how cars look like but at this point people may be cautious due to it looking too different. So what they are most likely doing is

They have been using grid fins for quite a while.

It is most definitely how economics and business work.

As for why they wouldn’t charge more and earn a higher margin? The answer is simple, the big picture. Tesla has set out a goal of making EVs available for the mass consumer. Trying to sell cars as expensive as possible would go against that goal. This is why Tesla

The OP did not imply that, the OP is saying that Tesla would be in a far far better position if it got the benefits GM got from government.

The tax credit doesn’t give money to the customer, it reduces tax liability. That said, under normally circumstances you would be right, BUT not in ones when a seller is supply capped. When a manufacturer has more demand than supply, such as small % tax credit is virtually irrelevant.

People spending that much on a car
