That is a myth. Even if you subtract the credits, Tesla still would make 21k per car in profit and still have the highest profit margins of any US automaker. ZEV + Carb credits were about 6% of revenue.

Considering he specifically says its 35k before tax credits.

Well he said more affordable to be accurate. He actually said teh exact price 35k which would be about the price of an average new car.

The price of the car is 35k - 7.5k tax credit = 27.5k. Factor in savings on gas. That is pretty affordable.

lol, first of all. Big Bang was not necessarily an explosion as we would like to imagine it. All we know is that there was a rapid expansion of space, not necessarily an explosion.

Of course no one cares if you lie because:

Every debate should have fact checking done during it by an independent panel on every statement.

It is actually interesting how people talk about enjoying roadtrips, then suddenly treating them as quickest way to reach A to B. MAking stops and seeing places is precisely what roadtrips are all about.

What does Iraq have to do with Afghanistan?

You mean Cheney called him on the phone and was like “Hey, I need some oil for Halliburton, go invade Iraq”. To which Bush responded “Yes God, anything you say”.

Personally I don’t see a point in this. Let us be honest here, adding a designated light is not going to make people think “hey these cars are safe”. Quite the opposite. And for multiple reasons:

This:

No excuse, sorry. Here in NYC we have same issues and 1 inch of snow is a joke.

You would be better off placing a heater there. There are more efficient ways of generating both heat and light. Particularly because you want both the heat and light to be directional.

We will know come Spring 2016. That said, your pessamism isn;t rooted in reality either.

2X+ cheaper is not a couple of dollars, of course it all depends on how much you drive. As far as who won, hard to say yet, overall though things seem to be going towards electric as electric cars have the highest customer satisfaction, and adoption is going faster than adoption of the automobile.

Tesla has always been on time with showing of their prototypes. They did have delays in the past but mostly because of lack of experience, and trying to push the boundary. This time around I see no reason for them not to release the Model 3 on time.

I doubt there will be a delay this time around as they don’t plan on adding too much fancy stuff from the beginning. So they will most likely hit their target time frame. Especially since they now have more experience.
