Probably signed an option on his mclaren contract that is impossible to break, and too expensive for anyone else to buy out.

The think Alonso is properly rated, but is underperforming at present. I say this because we know that he can wrestle a pig of a car to positions that would be impossible for other drivers. I agree that Lewis is currently the man. He’s probably top 5 amongst drivers from the past few decades, and I wouldn’t be

Something’s fishy there. I don’t think it was entirely his choice to stay at mclaren.

Pretty sure Alonso is still regarded by his peers as among the fastest. He’s the kind of driver that you just can’t shake, even though all metrics suggest he should be way behind.

Mmmm. There were still some episodes last season that made me question that. He’s better, but I still have my doubts about how he would handle a team mate that was as fast as him.

PlayStation, XBox, whatever. I like them both and hope they both succeed to give me more entertainment options.

Jesus, the timing and simple eloquence of that was perfect. Laughing my ass off.

I concede that Lewis is a bit faster, but I bet Alonso is still better over a season. It would have been an epic battle.

COTD 😂

Who knows what journalism is in the trump era? It seems that one is allowed to attack free speech at the same time as pretending to uphold the pillars of democracy. It’s fucking bizzare, so jumpstart, or whatever the hell it’s called, doesn’t surprise.

Overall true, but the cutthroat funding structure in F1 doesn’t help. I’m hoping liberty finds a way to keep teams competetive.

But it just never seems to get old.

It could also be a giant distraction to take focus off the real cheat.

It means fuck you, fuck and you. Prick.

Maybe so. Remember when button had to hold his knee against a hole in the cockpit to make the diffuser work?

To each his own.

The livery looks great. I’m not expecting them to challenge the main team though. The “A” squad has some tricky aerodynamic bits and I’m betting they’ve found something that is going to make them quite bullish this season.

It’s nice. Somehow the livery says “were cool, but not too cool. And don’t expect miracles.”

Different cars. This year, both are running Renault engines. The main team rebadged them as Tag Heuer and does some in-house development. Not sure what STRs capability will be to do the same, given that they are, expressly stated, the red bull “b” team. They are generally expected to do less well than the main

Ferrari has the Italian flag on theirs. German and a Finn driving.
