It’s always difficult to defend a person one doesn’t know really, really well against charges like this, cause we don’t really know what that person is capable of. But this sounds like some RNC generated bullshit.

Hasn’t it been proven that intel obtained via torture is unreliable? Sure, like many things torture *might* work as expected, but if the information cannot be relied upon, how useful is it really?

I know for a fact that a person can just snap when put under too much stress, aka get pushed too far. Every one of us is capable of that even if we don’t believe that we are. Lizard brain and all that.

While I don’t think Musk has any reasonable way to get 82 Billion to go private at this point, does anyone doubt either that or cashing out is his eventual goal?

Word.

Dont forget where this meeting falls in the campaign timeline. Trump made an announcement at a rally teasing something yuge just before this meeting. The scheduled big reveal never happened, but DNC emails were mysteriously dumped hours after the Access Hollywood footage was released.

“It is a combination of things. It’s some people equating socialised healthcare with “zomg socialisms!” It’s people assuming—wkthout hard evidence—that socialised healthcare would cost waaay too much. It’s some people, yes, unwilling to subsidize their neighbor.

Is season 2 worth watching? I was transfixed by season 1 after somehow stumbling onto the show (even though I never liked the character in the comics), but season 2 episode 1 just didn’t do it for me. It just feels like everyone other than David is a member of the hero F or even J squad. I mean Fox has this habit of

I don’t believe leaning on contractual language is sufficient excuse for having her film naked, but I’m not really sure what to think about this story. On the one hand the fact that she says she was openly crying, and noone reconsidered the scene is horrible. On the other, regardless of whether we believe nude scenes

I Absofuckinglutely do NOT support saying something to the management without first giving her a chance to correct the behavior which so offends.

I haven’t read all of the comments, but so far no one seems to have mentioned that Trump’s first wife, Ivana, would have been deported under this same zero tolerance policy. Her own autobiography, published last year, detailed her sham marriage to an Austrian man for a passport which allowed her to move to Canada. She

“I want to be on her side but she makes all these problems for herself. She acts out like a teenager raging against the unfair world, when she had a career, money but she wants Beyoncé level fame....”

We simply disagree on this. I truly, genuinely don’t want to make someone’s job/life difficult, but at some point I can’t accept paying extra money to pretend everything is ok when it isn’t. Paying no tip requires a long incredible list of fuckups. I’ve literally never had an experience so bad that I’ve left no tip.

“Two things- tips should start at a baseline of 20%. And never, ever answer a survey with anything negative. It’s not worth it and all it’s going to do is cause undue stress to a person who most likely was doing the best they could with the bullshit, contradictory instructions their multiple supervisors gave them, and

When I read the title of the post I thought I was going to have to stand up for my right to base the amount of tip I leave on the quality of service received and not on guilt generated by having worked in restaurants, or by the countless genuinely sad ‘poor waitress’ stories we read.

Did you not read what I wrote? Your comment reads like you didn’t read what I wrote. I’ll just quote myself:

Love the callbacks to the earlier post about Signs That Hands is Bout to be Thrown.

Nah... Pknecron has a point. A damned good one, in fact. Our history books and popular media have been diminishing the contributions damned near every country other than England made to the win the war since WWWII. Most people have no idea how crucial support from nations in Asia, Africa and elsewhere were to winning

I know you are joking/making a point, but don’t politicians generally vote for military spending for the expected jobs and tax revenue for their districts?

I’m American and I feel like I’m missing something too. I get wanting to start a credit card tab for the bar, if that’s the policy for everyone, but she offered to pay cash. Where does a tab come into play here?
