My ranking has "Twice Removed" at the top and "PRetty Together" at the bottom. They have an absurd amount of really good to great material. The advantage of having 4 really good songwriters.

That was with the Enclave version - the first US release of OCTA. One Chord To Another had been out in Canada for quite a while prior to the Enclave release.

Sloan had pretty much broken up and played their 'last show ever' prior to recording this record. I was more than a little surprised when I heard that they had put together a new record. Originally, this came out in Canada but not the US. I planned a trip to Toronto around picking up a copy, and missed Sloan play a

"Made to Be Broken" still rocks my world. Heck, I'm still a big fan of "Grave Dancers Union". Not a fan of the two records that came out after that and have not heard anything since.

Back in the day I lumped the 'mats, the Huskers and Soul Asylum together as three great bands from the same city. I saw Soul Asylum open up for Husker Du at some point and was blown away. They were such a great live band back in the day, and their early records still hold up for me. Your mileage may vary, of course.
