I own a (heavily modified) 1986 spider and am doing a bare shell restoration on a 67 Giulia (same basic chassis). The price is probably market, but the car probably only makes sense for someone looking to do some heavy modifications or doesn’t mind a rough looking car if the rust situation is as described (may not be).
$2800 for a well-sorted original Miata is fair. $2800 for this Alfa is cruel.
Lol, I used to fill all the screens at the various local computer stores with “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” just to subtly creep people out.

Have friends with VWs from that era (Passats, Jettas, etc.), and it’s a mixed bag, but…
Know some folks who work in service for Kia/Hyundai. No thanks.

For example, does every modern Land Rover Discovery deserve the stigma of the LR3 years or further back?
ICE vehicles aren't going anywhere in the next decade or two. We dont have the lithium production to support a full switch to EVs, and won't anytime soon
Seriously. Also, how hard could it be to drill open the lock box and see whats inside. If I could guess, I’d say its likely a raspberry pi. Pull the SD card and see whats on it.
Other people have guessed they could be HAM or GMRS repeaters. I doubt its HAM (They’re notoriously sticklers about FCC rules) but maybe GMRS.
Where are people finding Buick dealerships?
I don’t understand why everyone tries to minimize Toyota’s achievement here in the comments. The key to longevity is buying a Toyota. Everything else is secondary.
My thoughts are when there is a truck, and an SUV based on the truck, the SUV’s are GENERALLY used to tow and haul less, therefore the miles driven are less stressful than in the truck.
