I own a (heavily modified) 1986 spider and am doing a bare shell restoration on a 67 Giulia (same basic chassis). I’ve taken to just getting an Uber when travelling.
I don’t feel like dealing with the headaches of rentals, the added time of pickup/dropoff, and finding a place to refuel near the airport. It’s not worth my time (and usually ends up being cost neutral at worst)

I don’t understand why everyone tries to minimize Toyota’s achievement here in the comments.  The key to longevity is buying a Toyota. Everything else is secondary.

My thoughts are when there is a truck, and an SUV based on the truck, the SUV’s are GENERALLY used to tow and haul less, therefore the miles driven are less stressful than in the truck.
