I had a car once with seats that felt great for up to four hours, but anything after that was just about crippling. It’s not something I would have figured out on the test drive.

I wonder about that, though. Are these issues more frequent with the Bronco launch, or are they just more publicized because the Bronco is wildly popular? We probably don’t hear about it when a Chevy Equinox comes with mismatched parts because no one gives a shit except the buyer.
“One Piece At A Time” was my first thought too!
I think what happened here is the would-be buyer of the dealership wanted to pay all-cash and rejected Kia’s loan offers that were a contingency of the sale price. Either that, or he wanted the building’s glass etching fee removed and it’s causing chaos.
On the other hand, your HVAC lasted more than 10 years? I’m impressed. They are currently crafted to fail permanently at the 10 year mark.
IMHO, the changes you’re describing might happen in the short term but the siren song of saving $$$ will be too strong to ignore long term. 5 years down the road: “Can’t we save 3% getting this from China?” “Yes, but we’re paying a little extra to reduce risk of a supply chain disruption.” “The pandemic was FIVE…
A quick perusal of the linked story indicates that the fire numbers were not adjusted for vehicle age.
Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.
Ford 6.0 diesel. Worst of the worst. You might think this is a joke, but it’s not, someone actually engineered this: engine uses dirty engine oil and pumps is up in the back of the valley to 3500psi and into a series of IIRC 4 segment tubes that are all connected by press fit o-rings to each head. Inside the valve…
Don’t forget when some brands issued separate door and ignition keys! I don’t miss that!
There’s literally only one indestructible bike — mid grade and up bmx bike. I rode literally 10's of thousands of miles in the late 80's, 90's and 00's and was very, very lucky in the injuries department. Lots of racing, group rides, mountain biking, and long “tours”.
...do they have special models that are cheaper and only at walmart?
Probably doesn’t help that I don’t think there are any Pokemon Go hotspots in the middle of the Brazos River, either
I love my Wrangler but after 5 jeeps, a new wrangler was the nicest, quietest and easiest to drive of the lot. I knew what I was getting.
If had to have a brand new 4x4 convertible to cruise to Walmart I don’t know that I would buy a first-year Ford.
Aren’t new Broncos incredibly hard to buy for anything close to MSRP? Seems like a false comparison. Ford is selling every vehicle they can build and it’ll likely be years before supply catches up with demand. That’s when you can make a true sales comparison with the Wrangler.
If Trump was still president and the CDC pulled this crap, no one here would be defending it.
This is damn good Jalopnik right here. Thanks David for sharing this, , and Gobless Gary.
crank yer hog for Gary. gobbless.
