I don’t recall where I read the original article. My news feed is randomly generated by Google, FB and other places. I read a variety from varying points of view. Found this from the New Yorker from early April 2022. It’s Larry Summers, former advisor to Obama. Printing money for very short term gains is not new. GW

President Obama economic advisor stated two or three months ago Biden economic recovery plan was responsible for at least 3% of our current inflation. In Joe Manchin hadn't killed the additional spending who knows how bad the current inflation would be.

4th Gear - Ford is going to contact reservation holder in July and August. Its time for people to start choosing configurations. Ford expects the reservation only people to drop off. By October Ford expects to have a better accounting of probable Lightning Sales.

There are plenty of healthy mutts available at reputable rescues.

Locally the Mach E is advertised at $10k above Msrp. Even Msrp for the Mach E seems over priced.

One problem with crypto is the power required to create.  Not enough power to create crypto and power electric cars. New Federal rules will make gas furnace replacement expensive. Current gas furnace owners will likely switch to electric furnaces further straining the electrical grid.

Many states require new replacement from certified retailer.  Not sure on the Fit. Older Prius is usually a goner with stolen cat.

Twice I have taken a plane to purchase then drive home. 364miles. Saved over $12k on a new diesel truck versus local dealers. At the time airfare was $100. As long as return trip is no more than two days with single stay at a motel.

Smog not a concern in my State. However, with the Recession just starting this will be cheaper in 6months.

Warren Buffet was right. Just before the Crypto crash he stated he wouldn't own all Crytpo for $25.

Not everyone lives in San Diego. A Marine I know learned from class action lawsuit. The Marines he served with also learned from possible class action paperwork. The epa link I shared does not mention the Marine Corp knowing their water wells were contaminated for years before any type of cleanup was considered.

The US Marine Corp dumped hazardous chemicals near San Diego . Contaminated many of the wells on base. When discovered in the early 90's they said nothing despite only a few of the on base wells testing OK. I don't recall seeing this on the news. https://cumulis.epa.gov/supercpad/SiteProfiles/index.cfm?fuseaction=secon

Doesn’t list the base 6spd transmission . Does Honda use a second battery for start/stop? The 9spd Auto the Passport uses is not great. Too bad Honda eventually eliminated the base 6spd transmission.

1st Gear Does any municipality actually test chargers to be sure the power they promise is as advertised. Given how fragile the battery cells can be wouldn't periodic testing of every charger be prudent?

In High School our basketball team was in the state tournament. School provided Yellow Buses for everyone to attend. I have a license. My tired 1960 Chevy I6 3/4 ton didn’t appreciate long distance freeway speeds. 16yr old me only saw an oil leak. Walked to the payphone off the interstate to arrange a ride. My dad

I read somewhere,  might have been Gizmodo,  high gas prices are not pushing more people to electric cars. Probably many factors involved including the chip shortage.

The early layoffs are an outlier. Saying the economy likely headed toward recession was not. Musk can’t be that smart. He still might spend $43B on a vanity project as most of the world goes into recession. Nerc mentioned rolling blackouts for parts of the US are possible. US Farmers are not planting to make up for

I read that. It was lower than expected. I heard part of the Presidents speech this morning. It was a cheerleader event. Wasn't from a strong economic position. Inflation is no longer transitory.

Some big banks have announced the possibility of recession and the Fed inability to stop intransitory inflation without damaging the economy is a real possibility. Yellen just announced she made a mistake in forecasting inflation. Musk announcing a super bad feeling is not an outlier.

Eversource is an electrical company? Could be environmental conditions that leak into the underground Electrical Utility Vaults. Could easily be a small gas leak that builds over time. Can the gas company pressure test different segments of their main lines?
