Geothermal heat pumps don’t pencil out in Washington State for single residential homes. Heat pumps do save money to a point. The cost of heat pump replacement at end of life hurts the total savings.

Manual  cable controlled hvac. Rarely broke. Manual seats. A few vehicles still have it. Electric motors always break. Manual seats typically last the life of the vehicle. 

The same dog and pony show happens when fuel prices rise. Why not audit all Federal, State and local laws and regulations that effect fuel prices? Time to build more fuel production facilities. Eliminate laws that make no difference.
