It's my experience more people step off the sidewalk without looking now than the past. Very common in downtown Seattle for pedestrians to never look and cross against the lights. According to the article SUV sales are up 8% but responsible for 53% increase in pedestrian accidents?

Roxor Mahindra makes little sense. The assembled price was very close to a 2018 2dr JK Jeep Wrangler. Locally the assembled Mahindra was $25k.  For $3k more one could get street legal vehicle with modern crumple zones and airbags. 

4runner does it better. Glass rolls down for 5 windows down. Hit a patch of rain? Roll the windows up from driver seat. 

Yes. I'm going to choose the vehicle that fits my needs that includes a margin of safety. 

Honda Fit weighs about 2600lbs. Many SUV are over 4000lbs. I would not want to be in a Honda Fit in an accident vs an SUV. Many half ton trucks are easily 5000lbs. 2010 or 2011 Toyota 4runner Sr5. The early 5th Gen SR5's had a manual transfer case shifter. Later Sr5 went electronic. Decent mileage examples are $16k. Easy parts availability and above average reliability.
